strange directory / album structure behaviour

I have installed a new album - Lets call it album A. In it there are several sub album Lets call them Albums 1, 2, 3, 4 etc. Each has its own subalbums lets call them i, ii, iii, iv, etc.
In all previous installation when I click on Album A I'll see thumbnails of Albums 1, 2, 3, and 4. In the new installation when I click on one album it will immediately open the first album underneath. So when I click on Album A I'll see thumbnails of albums i, ii, iii, iv of Album 1 and when I click on Album 1 I'll it will take me directly to all the images of album i.

So far I have moved all the albums in Album A to a new album B but this made no diferrence. Any other thing I can do?

Nothing that I know of has changed. Older albums function normally.
