G2 Database Woes

My gallery installation that broke, I have discovered, is a whopping 5 gig on my drive. What I discovered was that certain of my databases have extra posts, spam posts...I think they must have been posting even since that version broke...you can see them all in g2_Item...the spam is after g2_item with g_id 34186...
As I said, this gallery installation is broken, but I want to see if I can rescue it someday, and I am sure I have to get rid of the whopping number of bogus posts/rows. If I deleted all g2_Items after 34186, how would I delete and related rows in the other HUGE tables.

I will not give all my Gallery specifics (though I think it was g2 2.2) as this is pretty much a DB problem first and foremost. I am willing to hire an accomplished gallery coder, fell free to message me, I could use the help.
