gallery remote uploads most pictures but not all. "Gallery Remote Error: Server contacted, but Gallery not found" on failed pix

I have been using gallery 2 for a few years now. I have had one site up for a while and recently created another site. I use the 1-click installs provided by dreamhost.com. I realize I may get flamed for not knowing all the ins and outs of setting it up and installing it manually. I will ask anyway.

When I use gallery remote to upload lets say 200 photos, 15 will fail with the error "Gallery Remote Error: Server contacted, but Gallery not found". In the past I would just wait till it finished and click the upload button again and they would go the second time. But on the new site the same files will not upload, once they fail, they will always fail. I have also tried uploading the individual failures to the website one by one, no dice. I can upload another set of photos but there are always a few failures. If I try to upload 100 5-10 fail, 300 15-20 fail. It seems to fail 10%-15% of the total upload.

Any ideas?
