how install gallery on my website

How can i install Gallery3 on my website i cant find step by step information in the FAQ for me i am a complete Newbie in this.
I have a map Photo's on my site and there i want install Gallery in

Thanks for the comment but when i want log in i get this message: We were unable to connect to your MySQL server with the username and password that you provided. Please go back and try again!
I fill in the same username and password thats in my Database management what i do wrong?
My password and username are alphanumeric

If you're 100% sure that the username and password (both also case sensitive) are correct, check to make sure that you also have the correct database name and hostname. If any one of these four is off (incorrect), it won't be able to connect.

You also need DB privileges.
You can have a DB name and associated user, but without the correct privileges you cannot connect

thank you both for the answer i can log in now but how can i show Gallery on my website when i want to Add an album how can it show on my website and what i can fill in on Internet Address when i type my site adress i get a message :The internet address should contain only letters, numbers, hyphens and underscores

Gallery is your website (or, at least, part of your website). The only other possibility is an embed of some sort, but I don't think that's what you mean here.

The internet address is whatever you made it. It is wherever you put (uploaded) the contents of the Gallery folder. (Assuming that you didn't use an auto-installer from somewhere.)

i have a map with photo's on my site and there i want to install Gallery when visitors click on the map that they see my photo's
I not used an auto installer just extracted it via FTP
this is my log in page of Gallery http://www.phv-schoonebeekeo.nl/gallery3/index.php/ i tried this addres to fill in as Internet Address but then i get that message:The internet address should contain only letters, numbers, hyphens and underscores
what can i do to put gallery in my photo map
i also see now that the map of Gallery in FTP all dated is as jan-01-2013 and when i click on the folder is as dated dec-31-2013 can that be a problem maybe

Not sure. I see the page just fine: One photo titled "DSC 0623" in an album named "Trainen 29-12-12."
Maybe a server setting that affects certain locales/languages/charsets? Not sure.

I'm don't understand what you mean here. If you just need to link to a page, you can copy the page URL from the address bar and put it wherever you need it. (Right now, you only have 1 photo in 1 album, so there's not much to share.) If that's not what you mean, you'll have to be more specific. (Or maybe someone else understands better than I do.)

I'm not sure what the problem is, but anything dated dec-31-2013 is a problem. If it's Dec-31-2012, that could just mean that you moved the contents into a folder that you created after you'd already uploaded the items somewhere else.

Hi, thats a good question - Is it possible also install the Gallery3 on the wordpress? I'm having trouble with some error when I try and install it manually, perhaps its meant to plugin, if someone has an idea that would be great, thanks.

No, you don't install Gallery on/in Wordpress. You have to install it separately. After it is installed, you can integrate it. The most advanced option I know of right now: http://gallery.menalto.com/node/109355

I have some more photo's on Gallery and i make two albums i installed everything again the date and year is now good

now i put some links on my site but i want to show them direct thats why i want Gallery on the site

I think that I understand.
(1) Rename your foto-s.html file to something else
(2) Rename the Gallery folder (gallery3) to foto-s
(3) Then do this: http://gallery.menalto.com/node/105601

Let me know if that does what you want it to do.

thanks for your answer i hope this works i rename everything but how can i edit this application/config/config.php isee the file in FTP but can only rename it do i need an other FTP program then

You can edit it with a standard text editor on your computer. (FIRST: Save a backup copy of the one that's already there!) Download it to your computer, edit it, and then upload the new copy.

i tried everything but nothing works i think i do it wrong now i change the config.php file all what you said i did and when i try to log in Gallery on this link http://www.phv-schoonebeekeo.nl/gallery3/installer/ i get an error 404 maybe you can do it for me (if you want ofcourse i dont know now what else i can do)
