In the first page of the setup process after the upgrade I get this error:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare gallery_languages() (previously declared in /home/jwulff/public_html/gallery/util.php:3047) in /home/jwulff/public_html/gallery/setup/functions.inc on line 567

Get this information from the PHP diagnostic (in the configuration wizard).

Gallery version:
Apache version: 2
PHP version (don't just say PHP 4, please): 4.3.0
Graphics Toolkit: NetPBM
Operating system: RedHat9

It may be that you didn't quite upgrade correctly and some stale files from the previous version of Gallery are hanging around. Try deleting everything except config.php and your albums directory and reupload the new version of Gallery. Re-run the configuration wizard, etc..

John,

The documentation in 1.4.1 is awesome (and thorough). It doesn' say in your post, but if you did in fact upgrade using FTP, take a look at the NOTE at the end of the section. I missed it to.

Upgrading Gallery with FTP

Note
If after you upgrade your Gallery, you get a blank screen or a PHP error (e.g. "function not found", etc...), don't panic. Your FTP client probably didn't override all the files. The solution is to delete all the Gallery files except config.php and your albums directory and re-upload Gallery (don't forget to re-run the configuration wizard).

This worked by the way!!!

1.4.1 is AWESOME!!!!!!! :D
