Has anyone come up with a way to password an album so that when a guest comes to the site they can see the album is there, but when they click on it to open it, it would ask them for just a password? I have tried "album password" module, but it hides all protected albums until a password is entered. I still want the album cover to be visible, maybe with a lock icon over it or something to let them know that there are albums there.

You need to make the album viewable to everyone then use albumpassword

i know what you mean. i too have been looking for this solution. so a visitor can come to the site, see the album, click on it, then enter a password to enter.

have you come up with anything. i am working on this now.

i believe this is how the module worked for G2.

I got that, but this module hides it to the guest viewer and if they know the URL they can still view it without password.

maybe it wasnt this way in older versions, but now it hides until you put the password in. i want the album visible but need a password get into it.

You could make a guest username/password combo. Something real easy to give to people you want. Once they authenticate, you can change album permissions to View or View Full Version.
