New Random Photo Block (lots of extras)

I've reworked my random block so that it now displays a Random Photo, as well as the last 5 updated albums with the dates they were updated AND it shows the single most popular item accross all of your albums, as well as the total number of items and total number of albums.

The package includes the block, a "Most Popular" items module and a readme file with instructions for modifying the variables to work with your site.

You can view the block at www.perfectcell.org and you can see the module at www.perfectcell.org/modules.php?name=Top_Screensavers.

You can download the package from www.perfectcell.org/Random_Block.zip or you can download JUST the module from www.perfectcell.org/Most_Popular.zip

I having problems with this block in 1.4.1. I get "Your Gallery settings were configured with an older version of Gallery, and are out of date. Please re-run the Configuration Wizard!"

When the config wizard is re-run, the same message occurs in the block. My Gallery itself is fine.

The apache log shows "PHP Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /server/html/family/modules/gallery/session.php on line 64" That's the line in the sessions file that we had to change. Changing it back results in the same error.

I am using gallery 1.3.3 and nuke 6.5 and I get the following errors:

Most Popular:
ERROR: requested index [12] out of bounds [11]
Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /my/server/path/main/modules/gallery/classes/Album.php on line 737

And on index page:
Warning: fopen(/my/server/path/main/modules/gallery/albums/top-pics.cache) [function.fopen]: failed to create stream: No such file or directory in /my/server/path/main/modules/gallery/platform/fs_unix.php on line 53

Any ideas? I haven't had much luck with these type blocks but this composite looks really nice ;-)

corine41, not sure if you have this block mentioned in this thread, but if you are using Joerg's block this error is probably from using the Use resize and the Use photo not thumb together. You're best to use the thumbs only.

I am using gallery 1.4.2 and PHP-Nuke 7.0 under linux.

I am getting this.

Gallery needs Reconfiguration

Your Gallery settings were configured with an older version of Gallery, and are out of date. Please re-run the Configuration Wizard! Here's how:



Unix with shell access 
% cd /path/to/your/gallery 
% sh ./configure.sh 

Unix with FTP access 
ftp> chmod 666 .htaccess 
ftp> chmod 666 config.php 
ftp> chmod 755 setup 

Windows 
C:\> cd \path\to\your\gallery 
C:\> configure.bat 

 


Then launch the Configuration Wizard. If you experience problems, you can find help on the Gallery Help Page.

So I reconfigured it and I am still getting the message.

??

The block also seems to throw off my css stuff?

Any ideas?

and here is my error when i click on Most popular

FAQ Gallery:c.15 possibly? Be sure you apply it to your albums/ directory.

When I try to view the top 100, I got this:

Warning: Division by zero in /home/httpd/vhosts/noccruisers.com/httpdocs/modules/Top_Photos/index.php on line 374

UNTIL I activated the block. It seemed to work fine, but I have nothing in the top 100 area.
