Anyone else get this after a 'successful' installation of gallery3?

When I clicked on the 'Start Using Gallery' link from the success screen,
I was expecting to be taken to a screen to login and use the new user and password generated.

Instead I got this

Check your error logs.
That screen isn't a Gallery error screen.
Could be a permissions error (as in folder permissions, maybe a folder is not writable).
Could also be a dns lookup issue, but that's less likely in this situation.

Your host should be able to assist in this. The screen shot of the error is not a gallery error.

I've gone back and forth with my host...
seems like this screen is getting generated because there is some config the the mysql db doesn't like.
responser:"The error screen that you are seeing is being generated by the cloud in response to an error with a file or a corrupt file/config file."
I'm completely a nubie here. I've done 3 clean re-installs (new database with each one).

Any suggestions on where I might look to track this down?
I've checked permissions and did a test with everything in the gallery3 folder set to 777 ('apply to all enclosed items)and still no success (so I doubt it is a permission thing).

frustrating...

help?

forgot to mention.. I don't see any files in my logs....
could that mean they are not getting written (and thus some permissions error)?

is there some step with configuring in the Mysql db I need to do?

No idea. Don't know your host, but they could help you faster than I could. Maybe time for a new host?
Oh, if you've changed everything to 777 (to test), be sure to change it back.

Ask them if they can elaborate on what file could could cause such an error. Can you post the error log? Or what configuration of MySQL could cause an issue.

I am having the same issue. Looks like we are using the same host: Rackspace Cloud. Did you figure it out?
