Don't think we had a upgrade path from Alpha versions that was sooo long ago I don't remember.

There is no mandatory upgrade it does not happen by itself. Something on the server has changed to trigger the upgrade process.

Can you confirm that this is indeed the version you have?

That is what i got from my Debug output. is thier any other way to find out since i can not even login.

from the upgrader:
Upgrading the Gallery Core Module
The Gallery Core Module is the heart of the Gallery application. You can upgrade most other modules using the Site Administration interface, but this module must be handled separately in order for the upgrade to go smoothly.

Currently installed Core Module version: 0.8 (Gallery 2.0-alpha-3)
New version Core Module version: 1.3.0.2 (Gallery 2.3.2)

Once the upgrade has begun, please be patient. If you cancel or reload the page, you may interfere with the upgrade process.

Great. But you should figure out why that file was changed.
