Greetings. We've opened this sub-forum for the purpose of providing an avenue for communications on using Gallery 3 on unsupported platforms.

Many of you have come forward in regards of the stance of no longer supporting Gallery on the Windows platform, as well as other platforms, such as using Postgres, Nginx, Macs, and many others.

The core team is continuously strapped for time in providing development of the Gallery core, and additionally, providing functionality on platforms for which they don't currently use. It is a difficult task to maintain security, performance and stability on a single platform, and more so, trying to provide the same functionality on many platforms.

The team has decided that in order to provide the best use of the Gallery, that it will only be supported on the unix platform, using MySQL, and Apache 2+ with PHP.

With this being said, as the Gallery is an open source project, ANYONE is free to fork the code, and provide their own repository of supported code for any platform they choose to. However, the core team will -not- be incorporating these changes, support, code submissions, etc, for the core Gallery 3 software.

We've provided this forum for open discussion, support, and forks of the Gallery 3 software for your convenience if you so choose.

I'm hoping you'll understand and use this forum for productive support to those who wish to branch off.
