Hi guys,
I am wondering if there is a module or plugin already for generating an embed image code for posting an image from my gallery to a forum. I tried searching the site but couldn't find anything at all. Ideally what I want would be a button on the gallery image page to click on in order to generate the html code. My camera club is going to be using the gallery to post images to that then need to be embedded in our forum. We have quite a few elderly members so I need to keep it as simple as possible to use.
Thanks in advance for any help you could offer.

Thanks Dave.
I have installed the module as per instructions and it appears in the modules list but there is no sign of any way to use it on the gallery page. There is nothing in the option tab about generating an embed code nor can I see anything on the page itself. Any suggestions as to what I might have done wrong. I am a novice when it comes to coding and such so I might just be missing some vital step, though I did double check the instructions and as far as I can tell I did just as they said.

The embed item module

I forgot to mention that I tried to download the embed link module but the download link just brings me back to the same page.

Try the embed links as the embed item does not have a a method to show the code on a gallery page. With the embed item module it is to embed a item manually on a page there is no copy/paste as what I'm assuming you want.

Yeah, that is what I want but I forgot to mention before that the embed links module download link just keeps going around in circles to the same page. http://codex.gallery2.org/Gallery3:Modules:embedlinks

On http://codex.gallery2.org/Gallery3:Modules:embedlinks
there is a link next to the text that says "download"
that will take you to:
http://gallery.menalto.com/node/88322
Where there is some text that says "Get latest version" in the first post of the thread.
Click that link that will be the zip file containing the module.

Yeah it does but the second link takes me straight back to the first one and it just goes around in circles between the same two pages.

Does not loop for me. The 'Get latest version' link is:

Dave thanks so much for your help, that link works perfectly. I appreciate your efforts more than you could know.
Again, thank you.

OK, just one more question, is it possible to edit the embed links dialog box so that just one code is visible? I am trying to keep it as idiot proof as I can as some of our members are not all that bright when it comes to using anything new. Image attached showing which code I want to keep, just need to know how to get rid of the rest.
Thanks in advance,
Dave.

Did you try the settings page for the module?

Yeah, I did but it doesn't offer quite enough options for what I want to do. It allows you to choose to turn of bbcodes and url's but not to limit the amount of links that it displays in the html section.
I had a poke around in the css files but couldn't really see anywhere that might alter that part of it.
Cheers,
Dave

OK from the screen shot I can't tell if that is the modal window that pops up or not.
If it is then you can edit the view for that modal window.
How comfortable are you editing some html files?

Yeah, it is the pop up window. I am ok for any editing so long as it isn't too complicated.
