Can anyone confirm for me that Gallery 2.3.1 is compatible with php 5.4?

Thanks,

I inherited a web site which is written in HTML & PHP, one of the modules is a photo album of alumni and events which uses Gallery 1.4.4. We recently had to upgrade the PHP to 5.4 and the upload function in Gallery doesn't work now. Should I upgrade to version 2.3.2 or 3.4. We have many photos on the site and I don't want to lose them. I am also having trouble uploading either version to our server which runs on IX Web Hosting. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

We have php 5.4 on the server and it works. If you have any problem just ask the administrator. It should work without any problems!

Cheers!

I also had this problem upgrading to php 5.4 my gallery is just not working and I am not sure what I can do to get my picture gallery back up, I am considering using something else much simpler like instagram since they are now quite a big social network, a plugin for wordpress or something because I am at my wits end on how to fix this. I look briefly at some similar problems with people sugesting changing conf files or something on the servers but I'm not sure what to do!

This is your first post here, and you have posted no helpful information.
FAQ: What information is required when I ask for help in the forums?

I have it working now at last, just because I hadnt posted it doesnt mean I was not trying to get it fixed!! In the end I had to ask a developer to help me.

i joined *JUST* to confirm that this is indeed an issue..

changing:

ob_end_clean() to ob_flush()

in

./gallery3/system/core/Kohana.php

on or near line 530

indeed fixed the identical problem experienced in this thread completely.

vanilla install of Gallery 3.0.2 on Debian(/PPC) + Apache2.2.x + PHP5.4

thanks alot!

You are 2 versions behind in G3. We are 3.0.4

1. As Dave said, you are behind on your G3 version.
2. This post does not identify any problems that needs fixing. The OP simply asked a question looking for confirmation that PHP 5.4 works with G2 and got it.
3. Your reply is in the G2 section of the forum. You should post G3 issues in the relevant section
