Forgotten forum password

I can't seem to remember my forum password. Thanks to the password-saving feature of Mozilla, I can still log in, but only from my primary computer.

The forgotten password link doesn't seem to work. I know my email is configured properly because I receive notifications of private messages. When I click the "I forgot my password" link, the page just reloads.

I'd really like to be able to change/retrieve my password so that I can use the forum from other computers or in case Mozilla forgets it.

Thanks!

raist, I just fixed some bugs in the "lost password" code. Can you try it out again and see if it works for you? If not, email me at

and I'll reset your password for you. Thanks!

Ok, I figured out a solution. I'd gone into the profile, but hadn't checked the PostNuke profile settings. Upon checking there, voila, a password change command! So I did that. End of problem.

Regarding your changes, I double checked on the second computer I was trying to use to do the forgot password routine. This is the order of events:
1) I entered my username, no password, clicked "I've forgotten my password." This just returns the login page for me.
2) Realized I could change my password by logging in used the saved password in Mozilla on my main box and going to the Postnuke profile page.
3) Returned to the computer that didn't have the password saved and typed the new password.
4) Then I saw the "send me a new password" page.

So, it appears that someone who has actually forgotten their password can't access the send password page until they remember and enter their password. Catch-22.

Thanks for the help. Let me know if these comments aren't clear or you can't duplicate the bug.

Ah, I can see the confusion! So there's actually a link to the "lost password" page on the "Registration" page (which is only visible when you're logged out) but that's not so obvious. I added a "Lost Password" link right next to the login link which is visible any time you're not logged in so that should make things easier for the next person. Thanks for the feedback!
