(Solved)Question: Customising Theme - adding extra files/folders?

Hi guys, I consider myself a newby at web design, but enjoy tinkering. I may ask some silly questions, but not after a long search on the forums before hand. ok, to my question on file structure with Themes.

I want to edit the gallery\lib\superfish\css\superfish.css file to suit my theme design, I've read it's always best to copy files to your theme folder before editing, my question is, do I place the "superfish.css" file in mytheme\css folder directly or do I keep the tree structure MyTheme\lib\superfish\css\.. or is this not even possible?

I've edited the over rides in css, but, they have only changed sub menus.

* was missing ".sf-menu li" in the css, so there was no over ride. fixed now.
