Can't login normally; actions made aren't obeyed. What's wrong?

So in the last couple of days I moved my gallery (and 23 other sites) from one account on Hostmonster to another. It was just like changing hosts, except with the same host. All the backing up, downloading, uploading, reconfiguring... all of that had to be done. And I think I did it all...but some things are odd. At first when I went to my gallery, I logged in fine. Then I rebooted my computer and when I loaded the gallery I was logged out. I went to log in and nothing happened. It wouldn't let me login. It didn't say fail or anything, it just reloaded the page as if nothing had happened. I found the way to manually login (where all the info is in the url) and so I'm able to get logged in, but it's a pain not being able to use the login link and for the life of me I don't know why it's not working. Next... it isn't "taking" when I make changes. For example, I tried to change the theme, because in my modules page, under "actions" where all of the enable/disable/etc stuff was, it was empty, and someone suggested trying a different theme. Well, I would choose a different theme and click the button... and it would take me back to my gallery home page... with my regular theme. Then I found a mistake in the description of a picture of a painting I'm working on that I'd just uploaded. I said there was glare in the upper right corner but I meant to say the upper left corner. No biggie, right? I click on Edit Photo, change the text, click save... and it takes me NOT to the image page, like it used to, but to the homepage of the gallery... and when I navigated back to the painting... it still said "right" instead of "left"... my change didn't stick. You can click the link and see for yourself... Other changes that I've tried to make have also not taken, and I'm always booted back out to the front page of the gallery. Does anyone have any idea why either of these things (the login not working/the changes not taking) might be happening? |

Oh--another thing that isn't "taking" is that I was able to get FFMPEG installed (I finally got the "actions" thing to show--different thread--and it was installed, but uninstalling it and reinstalling it worked.) But when I try to change the settings? They don't take and it bumps me back to the homepage.

Another change it won't save is setting a picture as a highlight for an album. It kicks me back to gallery home and the highlight stays the same.
