Upgrade feed back to Gallery ver 3

Just a quick consensus, a client current runs gallery ver 2 and is on the fence to upgrade do to the additional training that may be required from company employees utilizing the new version. My question is ,can the new version be setup in such a way to mimick the old version so that there is minimal impact to the employees .And will there be any major potential problems with this upgrade. Thanks for your input. |

Gallery2 and Gallery3 are two completely different applications.
There is no "upgrade" to G3, you install G3 and "migrate" your G2 items to G3.
Although there has been a lot of similar functionality developed for G3, it is not as mature nor as feature rich as G2.
G2 is and still will be a viable framework for many years to come.

I really wish the devs had chosen a different naming scheme for this project as people rightly get confused by the iterating numbering scheme.
On the other hand, I suppose the higher number does help indicate where the current dev focus is.
