remote pc login failure

Hi I have just installed gallery2 and managed to upload a picture as admin.
I can seem to upload a picture using a user account.

I then went to test it from another pc on the local network and typed in 192.168.###.###/gallery2
which then redirrected me to localhost/gallery2/main.php and a
This webpage is not available
I have tried to find something in the config files in apache2, php and mysql but nothing i found or changed made any difference.

Can I just move the gallery2 folder from /usr/share/ to /var/www/

I want it set up so I can quit facebook and host the pictures from my own server at home so my wife can upload pics to it from her phone, work pc, etc.. and email links to our friends and family.

I also cant setup the email to work.
Is there a short tutorial to get that working?

Or is this all failing since I just "$ sudo apt-get install php5-common" and it automatically installed php 5.3.2??
