User name, password, and permissions for each album

Hi,

My first Gallery was G1 and all my albums were owned by different people who all had their own user names, passwords, and permissions.
I just converted to G3, and transferred all my data, (151 albums, 2500 photos, and 26000 comments), to G3 and it's fantastic, but I can't see how to add unique user names, passwords, and permissions for each album, and all the old users names and passwords don't work now. Were they supposed too? I kind of assumed they would.
