Hello,

my gallery doesn't work anymore, i have this error message:
Error (ERROR_PLATFORM_FAILURE)

in modules/core/classes/GalleryDataItem.class at line 178 (gallerycoreapi::error)

i tried to chmod 0777 recursively from g2data and other solutions but it didn't change anything http://codex.gallery2.org/Gallery2:FAQ#I_get_a_ERROR_PLATFORM_FAILURE.2C_what_should_I_do.3F

i found a similar case : http://gallery.menalto.com/node/90552
In this topic, "nivekiam" said that if the upload directory is in g2data/album/ , it creates some conflicts. Sorry but i don't understand why.

I tried to create another one, outside of g2data but i got some problems. In the support zone, in "Change Filesystem Permissions" i have :

Quote:
Path to change:
Gallery folder: /homepages/22/d331709478/htdocs/jscripts/gallery2
Gallery data folder: /homepages/22/d331709478/htdocs/jscripts/gallery2/g2data/

is that the right place to change the upload directory ? i tried also in config.php with (for example) :

Quote:
$gallery->setConfig('data.gallery.base', '/homepages/22/d331709478/htdocs/jscripts/gallery2/test/');

instead of

Quote:
$gallery->setConfig('data.gallery.base', '/homepages/22/d331709478/htdocs/jscripts/gallery2/g2data/');

with this solution, it crashed my gallery (blank page) and i had to change back to g2data (the permissions had changed and i lost 1h again to chmod 077 recursively).

please, someone can help me ?

(sorry for my langage, i'm french, i speak a little english :p)

How many items in your gallery? Might be easier just to start over?

I have a lot of items, i can't start over :( it would take too much time to upload photos again.

I have another problem, i can't upload things on the server by ftp. So i looked at how much place there was remaining on the disk, i've already used 1 999,00 Mo / 2 500,00 Mo.
I've sent a message to my host (1&1) because this is not normal, I have not exceeded the quota.

Cache takes up a lot of space too, i cleared it and uploading files was possible again. I feel that cache fills very quickly. My problem with the gallery is linked to the quota.
i think all i can do is to wait 1&1's mail
