Hello friends,
My old Gallery 2 contains many .EPS files. I would like switch to Gallery 3, but I found no info about .EPS files support in Gallery 3. Is there an existing or planned solution for an issue?

Thank you for help!

Gallery3 is meant to be lean, fast and support web friendly only formats. It is not the powerhouse that is G2.
There are some plugins to add the ability to upload off formats, but there would still be no presentation layer for such types.

If G2 is working for you and you'd like to continue supporting many media types, why switch?

Hello suprsidr!
Thank you for answer. Actually there are several reasons that makes me think about migration to gallery 3, when the most important are lightness, improved UI and improved search (i.e tag cloud). Also I never expect full support for EPS files, but an option to upload them to gallery like some object or something like that, just to store them there. For exampe there is "Add Videos" module that allows to upload unsupported video files. Maybe there is a possibility to tweak this module or "Add Server" module to enable this option?

Thank you

Thanks suprsidr!
A little tweaking of Videos moudle + Noffmpeg did the job. Now I can upload EPS files to Gallery 3. The only thing, that it's displayed like video thumb, but anyway it's not such a big matter to me.

Thank you for help! You'r doing the great job here :)

Alternative solution, for all the guys asking for PDF, EPS, etc. support on Gallery 3.
1. Upload these files somewhere on your server
2. Install "Item Links" module - it allows you to redirect to specific URL
3. Create album with photos, that contains redirect links to your PDF, EPS files.
4. That's All!
