File name and Caption Missing from enlarged photo

I have been using the clean canvas theme. When I click a thumbnail the larger image has file name and caption / description under the photo. I changed to the grey canvas option and now the file name / caption information has disappeared. This is the only change I have made to the theme and I have exactly the same modules installed as previously.

Anyone know how to cure this problem.
