I have Gallery 2 and I want to be able to stop visitors to the web page from saving the pictures from the Gallery to their computer. I changed the Permissions of "Other" on g2data/albums to "list files only" but visitors can still save the photos to their computers ?? Is there a way to do this so they can view them but not save them ? The web page is http://dingo-den.com. |

No, you cannot stop users from downloading your pictures.
The mere act of viewing your photos means my computer has already downloaded them.
Your best bet is to watermark your images and restrict views to resizes only.

As mentioned, this is not possible.
A quick lesson on how the web works will make this clear.
When a user views a webpage, what happens is that the html and associated resources such as css, javascript and image files are downloaded to that person's computer. The browser then displays these accordingly.
The point is that the very act of "viewing" involves downloading and is not the same thing as watching something on TV.
