I had a problem the first time I uploaded my site to the webserver.
I'm using Drupal 6, Gallery 2(honestly I don't know exactly what version) and I developed the site on my localhost, which has PHP 5.3.2. Anything was going smoothly until I uploaded the site.
Unfortunately Gallery didn't recognize the database (for that matter I know what to do), but I was checking that also the server that I was uploading has PHP 5.1.6 I don't know if that will affect the installation of my Gallery 2.
Anything you guys could tell me about that will be welcomed, thanks in advance

No idea whether it is compatible or not but PHP 5.1.6 is a "bad" version of PHP but you probably run Centos. Nevertheless, while this is what came with Centos 5, I think, there are several third party repos to use to upgrade and you should be doing so.
Try the Remi Repo at http://blog.famillecollet.com/pages/Config-en.
I am in the process of deploying a new Centos 6 server now which comes with PHP 5.3.2 but it doesn't matter as the first action is to connect to the Remi Repo and run "yum update" to take me to 5.3.8 amongst other things.
