Hello!
Until now i am using IDS (http://ids.sourceforge.net) as Image Display System, but it lacks many features.

I just found this system here and it seems to be quite cool!

But one Feature i am missing:

Pleas etake a look at: http://gallery.opalcat.com/index.cgi?mode=image&album=/Animals/Fish/Saha%20II&image=DSC00023.JPG
(They are using IDS...)

I can interactively change the size of the showed Image!

Thats a great feature!
Is that something i can do with Gallery, too?

Suggestions?

Actually, this is not interactive in my view. It's not 'recalculating it', i.e. I see it being loaded almost instantaneously.

There is something called "netpbm" (of which you need at least the Jpeg tools anyway to be able to run Gallery) which supports all of this functionality. If you install the full source (you can find it under http://gallery.menalto.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=phpWiki&file=index&pagename=Gallery%20Requirements ...). You can do so much more with netpbm which Gallery doesn't really need but you can for instance rotate online, and save, or make pictures black and white, or save a picture as a different format, etc etc. Check it out, it's amazing what you can do. I would suggest experimenting in a shell with some test pictures though

Once I have the time I'll try to explore most if not all netpbm tools. Simply amazing!

Cheers
