I use to have my gallery2 directory under a specific domain name on my webhost. I am trying to 'copy' this from this directory to same directory at the root of my account (which means a change in the 'domain name' of the gallery2 installation.

I simply copied the gallery2 directory to the new location at the root of my account and then made the suggested file permission changes. I can't get rid of this error. I changed the directory in the config.php file to reflect the new location. Is there anything else I need to do to make this work? The site was working correctly until I had the main domain name for my host account changed. Now nothing works under the old 'root/mydomainname/gallery2' I had changed 'mydomainname' to my main domain name for my webhost so that now my gallery2 directory should reside at 'root/gallery2'

when I entered the new url to access, I received the Gallery 2.1 upgrader page. I was not expecting to have to upgrade gallery2, but I can't seem to get site to display. It appears as follows:

Did you get an answer to this problem? I am having a similar problem (moved from one server to another)

I am sorry, I did not. I evenutally contacted my support through my web hosting company and they fixed it for me (which was very nice of them to do by the way). But I have no idea what code they had to change within the application.

But I was still never able to fix the database issue. You can now view but can't log in to post a message or change any existing content. I decided to build a new site from scratch using joomla 1.7. I still love the gallery capability much more than what I've found in any joomla extension.
