i just consolidated my webhost provider accounts and now my g2 installation is broken. it takes me to an upgrade page and then after i authenticate, on the system checks, i get the error Storage Directory Permissions Failed

Quote:
Inaccessible or missing files (392)
Error: Some files and or directories in your storage directory are not writeable by the webserver user. Run chown -R webserverUser .................

i don't think it is really a permissions issue, as the g2data folder and all of the immediate subfolders have 777

please help. i am so pissed at my webhost provider because i paid them to make these changes for me, but they failed and gave up.

i *think* the webserver does have ownership of the files. is there anyway i can run that chmod -r command myself?

thanks for your help :)

i figured out how to do it via my ftp (cyberduck) g2data folder > info > permissions > apply changes recursively

waiting for it to go through the thousands of files and will then try again.

Seems you don't have ownership of your files either.
Ask your host to make the changes or get a hew host.
