Could not locate a valid Gallery2 installation in the path: "/home/xxxx/public_html/mydomain.com/" provided to the gallery2_auth plugin
I changed the error to not show my path
Any idea

It means "/home/xxxx/public_html/mydomain.com/embed.php" could not be found on the server.
Hence, the "/home/xxxx/public_html/mydomain.com/" folder cannot be said to contain a valid Gallery2 installation.
It does, I validated the path, I have a gallery2 folder in my root int he path. No matter what path I place I get the same error
/home/xxxx/public_html/mydomain.com/gallery2 is my location
/home/xxxx/public_html/mydomain.com/ is mt root to joomla
I installed all components, verbatim,

The instructions asked for the server path to your Gallery2 installation which you say is in "/home/xxxx/public_html/mydomain.com/gallery2".
Why then have you decided to enter "/home/xxxx/public_html/mydomain.com" instead?
Surely you realise that "/home/xxxx/public_html/mydomain.com" is not the same thing as "/home/xxxx/public_html/mydomain.com/gallery2"
No, you miss understood or I was not clear. My path is correct, I add the below to mask my true path, my paranoia I guess
The actual path is correct as and I have tried it in all the iterations below
/home/xxxx/public_html/mydomain.com (Where xxxx is my account name Not Printed)(Where mydomain.com is my real domain location INSTALL OF JOOMLA)
/home/xxxx/public_html/mydomain.com/
/home/xxxx/public_html/mydomain.com/gallery2
/home/xxxx/public_html/mydomain.com/gallery2/
/home/xxxx/public_html/mydomain.com/gallery2/embed.php
I have used a path.php file to find the true path and this is it as I placed the path.php file in the gallery2 folder
/home/xxxx/public_html/mydomain.com/

Perfect. So happy to go back to Gallery instead of Picasa.
Thanks!

as an FYI for some who use Windows 7, I downloaded JoomG2 Bridge 1.1.6 and if you attempt to use Windows 7 built in "Extract all files" in windows explorer, it will say lib.zip is invalid. You need to use a different extractor such as 7-zip

Thanks for the report.
The package has been repacked and is now hopefully more Windows friendly.

Hi ereryone,
I try to test JoomG2 in Joomla 3.0.3 (the latest stable at the moment) but it doesn't work.
I am using the component and the plugin for joomla 2.5.X and they install without problems but
wI can't configure the plugin in gallery 2. Only options fot 1.5.x and 2.5.x are available. I try to configure the plugin for 2.5 (installing this another directory) and change the configuration, but when I save the configuration for joomla 3.x dissapear and doesn't work.
Looking the code I think files AdminJoomG2.inc and AdminJoomG2.tpl need modifications but I alway testes withut succes.
Are you planning to support joomla 3.X ?
What modification need to do for making work?
Many thanks for your work.

Joomla 3.x is not supported at this time. The module documentation and available configuration options should have made this clear.
There is no work being done on updating the module for Joomla 3.x at this time.
Since Dayo is moving and doesn't have access to his development system, I'm rather stuck in the water. Has anyone successfully used v1.1.6 of the bridge with 2.3.2 of gallery? If so, did you encounter the PHP errors I had above?
System:
Joomla! 2.5.14 Stable
Gallery2 2.3.1
JoomG2_Package_117
Cookie Path + Domain are same on Joomla + Gallery2
Recieve the message:
JoomG2 Notice: Incompatible Joomla! Version
Test: First logged into Joomla (Message above), opened G2 (wasn't logged in then), then logged in extra at G2 and captured the session screenshot. Attached you see the sessions that are running.
1. How did you install G2? If through a "one click" install tool from your host/admin panel (cpanel, plesk etc) or using a package manager (yum, apt-get etc) , please note that such installations are not supported with JoomG2.

Thanks for your reply, I installed Joomla 1.5 via ssh at the server, a week ago i upgraded to 2.5 via jUpgrade via the 3-Step-Upgrade.
G2 is also installed by hand via ssh.

I see from the link you sent by PM that you do have Gallery2 embedded in Joomla but that the embedding has been done using another tool and not JoomG2.
Can you clarify what exactly it is that you need since it seems to be working and it is not done using the tool relevant to this thread?
Bear in mind though, if you have used the G2Bridge extension for your embedding, that this extension is on Joomla's list of vulnerable extensions and that you will definitely get hacked sooner or later.
The integration was via standard iframewrapper for testing purposes, but what was the real FAULT, I also deactivated the code from Gallery_BeforeOutput.event for other styling tests, which then shows a normal output.
If you visit the sent link again, its now like JoomG2 requires - a standard link from Joomla to the Gallery2 and there the templates cannot be reached correctly.
But i fear this is not a fault of your plugin, I just recognised that there must be some other path variable wrong, because also url rewriting has problems with the paths (css, eg one of the subnavigation). Seems I have to force Joomla somewhere to use full instead of relative paths? With those full paths also the gallery path problem would be solved I think.

When you said you installed the applications using ssh, what exactly did you do?
Hello, just wanted to tell that I just tried it again. I had multiple issues that brought up errors.
For others this may help:
- be sure to set $gzip = 0; in joomla configuration.php (else you get a Content Encoding Error)
- for some templates full integration does not work, which is my case. So I am using a very simple gallery2 theme and integrate this into my page via iframe. in gallery2 the module setting of joomg2 is set to "user integration only"
My site works now, thanks.

I cannot get to the files as the Captcha images are not loading. Tried IE9 32 and 64, FF 14 and below.. Help

Not a browser issue ... having problems with PHP segfaulting on the server (The captcha is generated using PHP) and I don't know why at this point .
Wait for the steps to ultimately run ... which they should after a while in most cases.

How do you get to the clean embedded look in the example here: here? Do I want to follow the instructions in Gallery2:How to visually embed G2 in your own website using embedded mode or is some of that handled already with JoomG2.
Sorry for the noob, question I just need to be pointed in the right direction.
Thanks,
Todd

It is the siriux theme. I believe it is shipped with G2.
Nothing else was done as it fits the joomla template in use.
Note that the JoomG2 process does not follow that FAO topic as it does not use the embedded mode.

Hi,

When following the menu external link, I get this string:
{---{--{-{{G2TOKEN}}-}--}---}
I was confused on what the external link should be set to from inside joomla. Does this look right?
http://mysite/index.php?option=com_joomg2
My joomla version is: 2.5.11
My gallery version is: 2.3.2
The version of joomg2 is: 1.1.6
After following (hopefully) all the steps in the wiki, I noticed this error in the httpd log:
[Sun Jul 07 15:44:55 2013] [error] PHP Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required '/data/html/gallery2/modules/core/classes/../../../modules/joomg2/classes/SimpleHTMLDom.class' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php/:/usr/share/pear/:/usr/share/php/') in /data/html/gallery2/modules/core/classes/GalleryCoreApi.class on line 2827
I solved that by doing this inside the gallery2 modules/joomg2 directory:
ln -s ../../../lib/G2SimpleHTMLDom/G2SimpleHTMLDom.class SimpleHTMLDom.class
I hope that was ok.
However, I'm still seeing these errors:
[Sun Jul 07 15:53:00 2013] [error] PHP Notice: Undefined index: joomg2_email in /data/html//gallery2/modules/joomg2/classes/GalleryJoomG2.class on line 113, referer: http://mysite/gallery2/main.php
[Sun Jul 07 15:53:00 2013] [error] PHP Notice: Undefined index: joomg2_bounce in /data/html/gallery2/modules/joomg2/classes/GalleryJoomG2.class on line 117, referer: http://mysite/gallery2/main.php

Hello,
Have installed joomg2 and configured as described on http://codex.galleryproject.org/Gallery2:Modules:joomg2
System:
Joomla! 2.5.14 Stable
Gallery2 2.3.1
JoomG2_Package_117
Cookie Path + Domain are same on Joomla + Gallery2
Recieve the message:
JoomG2 Notice: Incompatible Joomla! Version

--
Edit: Haven't changed anything, but seems to work now. only the paths are not correct now
www.domain.com/gallery/main.php
and they try to catch http://www.domain.com/templates/domain/css/style.css instead of http://www.domain.com/cms/templates/domain/css/style.css
Any ideas?
thanks
