Maximum number of keywords

I am using Gallery2 embedded in Drupal 6. I am trying to find the settings for maximum number of keywords that can be entered for each image. Does anyone know what the maximum number is? Is there a setting for this or do the changes have to be made via a template file? Thanks in advance for any imput.
