Bug with (german) characters in GR for Mac OS X

Actual Version of GR for Mac OS X 1.1-RC1-b1

When I create a new album and enter any special german character ä,ö,ü (ae, oe, ue) in Gallery remote for Album Titel, Description the character becomes any non-ascii code in gallery but not the one I typed in.
Seems there's a bug in the ASCII coding.

The captions should be uploaded correctly if you uncheck the 'Allow HTML markup in captions and extra fields' preference (in the Upload panel).
