How to restore EXIF date/time selectively? Bad date/time is set for some photos...

Hi,

I'm running G2, most of the pictures were imported few months ago from G1 (1.5.9 if I remember correctly).
I noticed that for some of the photos, the date/time shown under thumbnail in album view is totally wrong. For instance I have a picture taken on 03 Aug 2008, but in album view I can see:

Date: 11/30/1999
Views: 10
Comments: 2

under the thumbnail. Also when I go to Edit Photo, in General tab I can see:

Photo Date and Time

Set the date and time when this image was captured.

Date: November 30 1999 Time: 00 00 00

Use the original capture date and time from file information (e.g. Exif tag):
Sun 03 Aug 2008 05:22:07 PM CEST

The 2008 date is correct.

There was a bug in Gallery v1.5.8, which caused that a capture date stored in database for newly added photos was set totally wrong, instead of taking EXIF capture date. I think that this happened to this photo and few others, and when I imported all of them to G2, the wrong date was imported as well.

I would like to correct the dates. Of course I can use "Edit Photo", click on the right date in "Photo Date and time" section, but for tens of photos it will be a huge and time consuming job.
I think I could also use the Site Admin -> Maintenance -> Refresh capture dates option, but this is global, right? And the problem is that I have several albums where I have scans from old negatives and I set capture date to the real one (from the past), running this option would reset capture dates to scan dates.

Is there any way to refresh capture dates selectively, for instance in selected albums only?
