Hello,

I tried to move my galery 2.2.2 from one server to another.
I've backup g2data folder + sql database

On the new server I've installed the same package/version of gallery (2.2.2), import sql database and g2data folder from old server, then I launched the install

When coming to database setup, it says that database and version.dat file in g2data folder are not compatible, and the only option is to erase everything ...

May I be wrong somewhere ?

Sorry for my bad english..

Follow this guide and you should upgrade, 2.2.2 is really old :)
FAQ: How can I move my Gallery installation from one server to another?

I followed the guide, but when it comes to database setup i got this :

"Gallery tables already exist in the database and there is a versions.dat file in the Gallery storage directory. But the version of the installed Gallery database tables does not match the version of the installed data in the Gallery storage directory. Select a clean install to erase all data in the database and in the storage directory and to advance to the next step."

No way to choose to reuse my old base

btw, 2.2.2 is old ;-)
I wish i change server, then upgrade

Since you backed everything up. Restore it back to it's original stuff. Then follow that guide exactly.

Either versions.dat didn't get copied over or there's some other problem. Make sure that gallery can write to your g2data directory and the versions.dat file under that directory
