Dear Helpers,

Just installed 3.0.1 and created 3 Albums. (3 Alben)

Wanted to have on the first screen 1 photo as 'pre-view' / per album.

I made the following steps:
Foto Optionen
zum Titelbild des Albums machen

Response from system: setze xxx als Albumcover (system 'accepted' it)
------
But there is no - afterwards.

Except for the third album, but in this, I didn't make above 'steps', it works automatically :-)
For the 1st and 2nd album - no photo is seen.

INSIDE of the albums of course, everything is OK.

Thanks for helping,
christine

I'm not sure that I understand what's happening.
Are thumbnails not showing up?
Can you provide a link to the gallery?

I think ist's better to show you the link :-)

that you know what I mean. The 3rd album there is a 'preview'.

Thank for looking up,

I can't see any thumbs (small images) for the 1st and 2nd album; I can only see the large pictures for those.
I DO see thumbnails (small images) AND large pictures for the 3rd album.
Try going to "Maintenance" and run the option to "Rebuild images."

Hi, thank you again.
Your instruction: Maintance/rebuild images was successfully :-)

So, but you are right, I have to try the thumbs within the album; You only can see the fotos (within album) when you go 'by mouseover'. That's not so good .....

Hope I find solution?
I already hav 3 galleries, but version 2.xxxx (no problem I had with thumbs there) and today i new gallery with version 3.0.1
It's different handling .... ?

thank you for, I hope still helping :-)

It's difficult for me to tell too much more from here.
Which image toolkit are you using? Try using ImageMagick (under "Settings" - "Graphics Settings").
(Not sure that's the problem, but it wouldn't hurt to try.)

Hi thank you again,

I changed accordingly and then I got information (under graphik ....):

ImageMagick Version steht im Verzeichnis /usr/bin/php_safemode zur Verfügung

under: 'active'
before changing, I had: GD 2.03.34
Under: maintenance everything is 'green' ....

hmmm, christine

I'm not 100% sure of what the message says, but if php's safemode is on, that could definitely be the problem.
If you can turn off php safemode, try that; otherwise, I hate to leave you without a solution, but let's wait a white to see if anyone else has input on how you can address this.

Thank you for your answer!

I can't understand this matter; because on my other galleries (version 2.something) there was no need to change/install in any other graphik or something like this. The information: "..... usr/bin/php_safemode .... " is shown 'automatically' since I hv installed this (new) gallery today.
Have to try again .... will inform you, when something is new ....

Hi again ...
It's possible to turn off -php safemode- ... then tried again ... same problems.
So I changed back to activate the -php safemode- again.

Then I installed a NEW gallery ... again same problems -no- thumbnails
then I changed from: ImageMagick to: GDVersion bundled (2.0.34)
and ... it works. www.kfz-schmalzl.at/gebrauchtwagen (of course new subdomain :-)

It 'seems' to be solved, if you have pls a look on it ...
---------------

Now annother question, I don't hope that needs to put it on a new thread?

Wanted to change the 'gallery' logo into annother.
Have uploaded (via FTP) the new one. Under: ..../gallery/images
But no change there. Checked also .css where to find, if I should load the .png somewhere else. Also looked at php.index
Do you have any idea?
To change the font-size (breadcrumbs) in .css was succesfully.

regards and thank you
christine

you can change the default logo and link:
Admin -> Appearance -> theme options edit the header text like:
<a href="http://example.com"><img src="http://example.com/images/image.jpg" height=100 width=100></a>
Save.

HI tempg & floridave:

Thanks a lot for your information. 'My' problem was, that I didn't know that is possible to change i.e. logo (header) also on the 'surface' of the gallery :-) Usually I change styles, <divs> etc. via css and/or indexes ...

That's why I was looking at first i.e. under: admin_theme_options.html.php etc. etc. via FT/CSS whole the time

Then: Directly surface gallery: Admin -> Appearance -> theme options -> there was no default logo and/or link shown there.
So, have added in that column :-)

regards and thanks again,
christine
