Dave, thanks. Installed the New Item Module. Pretty good. In your test album you can see the name, owner and the # of views only when you point to the pictures. This is pretty nice too. Is this a module?

Until the permissions are fixed, that's what I'd like to achieve. How can I do that?

All it did was set permission for the root album. No extra coding or anything... so it look like:

how did you make the <New> tag above the picture?

The new item module:

I am working on version 2 to position/rotate the text. stay tuned.

Dave, I did the same. Disabled Everybody. Enabled Registered and Test_Group for the root album.

Now, I can see the root album, but any other album under root (Gallery) I don't see any pictures. I just see the names and broken links.

I guess I don't understand why it works for me and not for you. Got a URL and some login info?

Dave

Hi Dave,

I have seen all over the forums that the permissions will be enhanced in future releases. My request (objective) is like this...

On my "Home" page I list all of the albums. The permissions are working fine for who can do what. My issue is that I want to put a Restricted album there, that everyone can see the Album cover, but will be asked to login when they try to enter the album. The objective is for everyone to see the cover, and then contact me when they try to enter and are prompted for a password. If only registered users see the cover, no one else will even know it is there, and won't ask for access.

Make sense? Is this something that is being considered? Implemented?
