I'm using Gallery3 for the first time and I found it very easy to install and set-up. I have just one question: I think that many of you know WordPress. With WordPress you can use different themes (just like Gallery3), and when you want to change the appearance of a theme you can create a "child theme"; mainly you create a new folder in the themes folder and you "tell" WordPress that each file that is inside that folder will replace the equivalent files in the original theme folder. This allows to change only the parts that you don't like, without touching the original theme, and when an update for the theme is available you can upgrade the theme as well as your "child" theme without any hassle.

Is it possible to do the same (or something similar) with Gallery3 ?

Thank you very much

The docs are just notes at the moment but will improve over time.
