Hi,

I'm new at Gallery. I'm trying to setup Gallery for image repository, where there's only 1 gallery and each users are allocated an album on that gallery. Under their own album, they can manage their images and create sub-albums. Because I also use Quota and Size Limiter plugins, I don't want users to be able to change those constraints. Setting Quota requires admin privilege but Size Limiter is edited in the "edit album", along with the album data path, which I also don't want users to mess with. So I turn off the "Edit Items" and "Change Permissions" for each albums, although I set the owner of the albums to their corresponding user. However I do want to give the user the flexibility to edit the item captions on their albums. Is this possible? How?

Also, I want to also create a "sharing" link for each image uploaded so they can be embedded on other site pages, like ImageRise/ImageBam (Gallery would serve much like guard dog controlling who can upload what and manage what's been uploaded). Are there already modules for this? If I have to write one myself, any pointers on where to start editing and what security measures to be taken?

Here's my system info. I can't give the PHPInfo link cos I still testing it on an offline server.

Gallery version: 2.3.1
PHP version: 5.3.3
PHPInfo Link: N/A
Webserver: Apache 2.2.16
Database: MySQL 5.1.51-community
Activated toolkits: GD
Operating system: Windows XP SP3
Browser: Chrome Plus 1.5.0

The User Albums module gives each registered user their own album that they have full control over. Admins of course also can edit/delete/add ... those albums as well.
