I have been using gallery for a while, recently migrated to the latest gallery version 2.1.2. Check it out. http://cityblogger.com/photos/. My site is usually of travel photos.
The System is actual running
G2.1.1 with no caching activated
The Server is 2GHz with 1GB RAM running Apache2, PHP5 and eAccelerator - and only my postnuke community http://www.technobilder.de is also running on the server.
So it will give you a nice performance indication.
I’m using Gallery 2.1.2 and theme PGtheme_V1.1RC1. I have slightly modified some templates, created black colorpack, added flash to gallery's home page and modified slideshow to include “no right click” and stop looping. Your comments are greatly appreciated.

just find this cool script, i'll create my gallery site soon
We have several websites feeding into gallery - one for weddings, one for events. A site to do with stock, and alternative wedding photography will follow shortly
Gallery is the HUB of our business - the bit that links and pulls everything together. It certainly makes my life very much easier. For example we shot an event last Sat, and had the images online within hours, and had our first print sales from the event within a hour
We use gallery for online proofing, for customer albums, as an online showcase, and for selling prints online
We have working zencart integration, which has been modified to match a modified PGlightbox theme,
We upload images using gallery remote
We will soon be implementing a per album search - specifically for bib-numbers from races. we are currently investigating a ocr-exif soloution to automate the addition of the bib numbers to the EXIF data
The next bit of work we will be doing is to completly sort the top of the page out (images and logo's etc.. ), and get control of the breadcrumb
We are taking this opportunity to thank all the contributors to the gallery project
hi, i have modified Tien theme. i have removed sub folders, changed css, album pages, photo page,
added adsense code. removed highlight ID added custom title tags, meta tags. i'm still working on it.
Content: photos of our travels by cruising sailboat from San Francisco to Ecuador, through the Panama Canal, to Colombia (so far, as of 8/2007). Base site is, of course, http://www.sv-moira.com
Hosted by GeoCities/Yahoo, so we're stuck at G2 V.2.1.0.0.1, and the neat plugins won't work. Minor customizations were easy, given the guidance in the Codex: matrix theme, remove the Gallery logo and bottom links, add our page title, change background color via the CSS.
All the best to the development team. Thanks for a really useful tool!
You can submit your own demo link with the link in the upper left corner of that page.

Nice gallery site running on windows 2003 64 bit with a MS SQL 2005 database.
I had to customize the paypal and checkout module to work with sql. Running a Carbon based theme the gallery is still very much a work in progress but it sure beats paying ebay over $100 a month to host my store. The Gallery software is second to none while it was a bit difficult to get it all running seamlessly I have learned that nothing worth while comes easy.
Great job to the Gallery team.

Hi Santm,
I visited your website, and found that it's so great! I also found you edit it, such as the background picture, and you put everything in the center. I am a new user of gallery 2 and just install the 2.2.3 version. And it looks not very well. So I wanna know that how did you do this? Which file did you edit that it could look like this?
Could you do me a favor to help me on this? My website: [dead link remove - nivekiam ]
Thanks a lot,

My Past Life Weblog, a Weblog about my emerging recall of Past Lives.
Minimal modification of theme Aqueous Plus for wordpress.
Some older posts have images that are a bit unruly as they were embedded using different methods and a different theme. They seem to like to wander around, sometime down the right margin a few meters! A few of the older links inside posts may point to heaven, or hell. I haven't fixed them yet.
Uses Wordpress 2.2 + Gallery2.2.3. Wordpress theme is stock Aqueous Plus and standard wordpressembedded for gallery2. I do have a slightly modified wpg2header.php and plan on a few other minor changes in the future.
I'm interested in world war 2 and I am collecting pictures and other info about ww2. I've tried to build a gallery at www.ww2shots.com . It's not finished yet, I am still working on it.

Hi community,
I am using a modified G2 with X_treme theme, wordpress with WPG2 and some pages around. For WP I have created my own theme for the visual coexistence/integration with my gallery.

http://www.BirdPhotos.com is integrated with Drupal and various taxonomical databases. I am adding functionality based on the databases, such as species lists, check lists, gallery site maps. I also have user accounts where I move the best pictures in the main gallery (a slight mod to create replicate, ask me for this). I have an intergrated RSS bird news feed as well.

A suggestion regarding the demo sites gallery.
I occasionally make changes to my sites. If an upgrade or new feature breaks a theme and I decide to mosh it or I just feel different one day. Hey, it happens! Maybe it's raining and I feel like it's winter again.
It would be nice to have sites checked on an occasional basis, removing those that have no DNS, no longer point to a valid g2 site any longer, or timeout 5 times in a month.
It would also be nice to be able to "refresh" the thumbnail for an existing site. Not an update button, I'm not insane but...
Due to theme changes I now have two different thumbs for one of my sites and neither match my current theme (recent upgrades messed up vSlider). I'm hesitant to add a third link. Maybe a "higher power" could whip up some cron -> php magic that initiates a one site per hour thumbnail update, once a month until all sites have been refreshed?
Thoughts?
Oh and I have yet another gallery site to report.
This is an adjunct to my Past Life site containing adult material.
ADULT WARNING Sexuality from a past life
Featuring a mildly customized Wordpress Stardust 1.0 and Gallery2 Simplified theme.
all good suggestions. to make this work in a really reliable way, this requires quite some effort though.
- i guess i wouldn't add the option to recapture a screenshot. protecting it from abuse would require some effort.
- @period checking if a site is still there: we'd have to check a few times (e.g. days or weeks apart) before we can pull a demo site from the list. the internet is quite unreliable and we shouldn't remove sites just because they failed a test once. and should we put it back online once we see it's up again?
if well implemented, those would be really nice features though.
I'm using Gallery 2 with the Carbon theme on a gallery recently migrated away from Coppermine at http://vista.howlingpoint.net/g. About 1100 images, and using G2 has definitely been a step up as far as I'm concerned.
