This thread is for you to posts your suggestions and feedback in relation to the Gallery Appliance. All comments, positive or negative are welcome... but keep in mind that if you give your negative comments a nice sugar coating they will be more likely to be addressed!

Getting Gallery Appliance to store pictures Outside the virtual machine?

With the new year, I've decided to give Gallery another shot. Early last year I had a tragic hardware failure and I was never able to restore the database into the new Gallery, so I gave up. I love Gallery and I don't think Flickr or Facebook even begin to compare, particularly for privacy.

Change user permissions in an album

I wonder if there is any way that the user can upload photo only certain albums but can not delete, edit, or move the photos.

I'm using Gallery2 with Wordpress integration.

Just installed fresh RC2. New DB.. php 5 / mysql 5. Apache 1.3.33

Everything went smooth but cannot get to admin. i get screen of errors:

Hey wait, you're an admin! We can tell you stuff.

40000 users, each users have his own album

I have to set up a site approximately 40000 users, each have his own album. He can only edit his own album, while he cannot edit other album

To do so, there is one solution without modification:
To assign each user to a group, total 40000 groups , each group have its own permission.

Hi all,
I fear I need a little bit of help.
I am experienced in Linux since approx. 12 years, building up Linux from Scratch (LFS) to learn how to do things, first installed VMWARE approx. 6...8 years ago and have used Gallery 1.5 since for some years. My actual host is Ubuntu 10.4.

Thumbs but no access to full images

Is there a feature avaible on this gallery system where everyone only can see the thumbnails but to get access to the full sized images they need to have a account the admin set up for them?

after installed a plugin (statistics) my plugin-page is blank. i do know linux-systems. is there any way to correct the problem ?
