G2 Demo Sites

Hi, all. We're getting lots of requests for G2 demo sites, so I figured I'd start a thread for people to post links to their G2 installs so that we can get a feel for what's out there. Post your G2 link here and a short description of what it's about. We're especially interested in descriptions of any customizations that you've performed (new modules, template changes, new themes/layouts). If you've done any of that, try to give us an overview of what you did and why. Thanks!

Serious Safe Mode Discussion

I know, it has been discussed from times to times, but this thread should be ultimate, detailled answer, why you need PHP Safe_Mode in gallery and gallery2.

An argument was that gallery needs the permission to create its own directories.
My suggestion:
When in installed in Safe Mode, all Files are owned by the webserver (or www or whatever).
PHP can chmod directories on the fly to 777 and do what ever it wants. In the end, chmod them back and everything is fine.

Uploaded Jpg pictures show up as .Gif Thumbnails

I've been using Gallery2 (2.2.5) for years.
Recently, the uploaded Jpg pictures started showing up as Thumbnails with a Gif extension. When hitting the .Gif Thumbnail, the picture shows up as a regular Jpg picture. What might have happened ? I've probably changed a setting without knowing so ?
Can one link from custom fields to an exterior URL?

Using Gallery 2.X. I'd like for users to be able to provide a link to their personal web site to show higher quality images, if desired. Can this be done from within custom fields? If not, is there another approach? I looked at Link Items, but that doesn't seem geared for this task.

Thanks in advance,

Need installation files v 2.3.1

I have taken over a forum, that also has a gallery. This gallery is based on v 2.3.1 and works fine. I want to movethe gallery from a managed system to a root server. This root server has different path names to things like ImageMagick. My idea ist to reinstall 2.3.1 on the root server and restore a MySqlDumber backup. In addition I copy all the images.
