G3 - neither face annotation module working

Module: PhotoAnnotations 4.3 and TagFaces 2+ (latest update)
PHP version: 5.2.1.4

Both modules appear to work. I am not trying to use them together, and I only loaded TagFaces because PhotoAnnotations quit working.

I changed my host from 1&1 to HostGator. PA worked fine on 1&1, but on HG it doesn't. I can create the annotation, save it, and I get the message Annotation Saved, but there are no annotations on the photos. The same thing happens with TagFaces.

I don't believe it is a module problem, I suspect a configuration or db problem. I have tried both GD and Image Magic. Nothing seems to help.
