[SOLVED] CSS glitches on photo page

Since last git pull, I get a scrambled photo page:

Photos are too far at the right, they start at the side bar and loom out of the right edge of the page.
Videos are on the correct position, but the caption overlaps with the player's control bar.

Thanks. I've left a note for the developer.

fpe, I'm not able to see the issue, although I don't have any movies in my test instance. I've checked FF, IE 7 & 8.

I just discovered that this photo misplacement only happens when logged in as Registered User, see attatchment screenshot.png.

If I am not logged in, the image is displayed at the correct position, but the previous/next buttons are only clickable in their upper few pixels, because the <div id="g-photo"> overlaps (see attatchment firebug.png)

The video caption issue happens both logged in and logged out, see attatchment video.png.

I tested with following configurations:
Kubuntu 9.04 - Firefox 3.5
Kubuntu 9.04 - Konqueror
Windows 7 Professional - Firefox 3.5

Maybe you could have a look at
http://ente.baer.rwth-aachen.de/git-gallery/index.php/test/IMG_1612
with some other browser? You can log in with
user: test
pswd: test

My gallery test copy gets automatically git-pulled and "php index.php upgrade"d every day.

Thanks
fpe

Hi,
I think I got the latest "gallery-gallery3-b6c1ba7". The photos are still too far to the right, in fact off the page. If I go into lib/gallery-common.css, find .g-button and change "display", "margin", "padding" all to 0 the photos appear on the left of the screen. Don't suppose this is the solution but the code isn't fixed in this version,

Ken

Thanks for quick response. I went walking, came back and there you were.
I extracted from the zip file and copied "var" into the new version as per the upgrade advice. I did this to 2 experimental versions and had the original. I was able to open any of them with the right address. Have just repeated the process of upgrading with just the experimental version and I did get a photo on the left the first time but only that once. Uploaded three photos which are in var but no thumbnails. I noticed in the extraction information at the bottom this message "Output Truncated by browser". It had seemed to stop halfway through the next word.
I have only changed the theme.

Change the theme back to just 'wind' and see if the problem goes away. The fix thumb did wasn't applied to that theme.

If you want to fix your theme now, take a look at the changes thumb did here and make any necessary change to the night_wind theme:

http://github.com/gallery/gallery3/commit/80bb78fa4ef3fe718cdee56fc98d5584dcd7d5b2

Or wait for that theme to be updated

Aha. Thanks for that. Can't wait 'cause it's all quite exciting so I'll have a go. Still no thumbnails though. More info on this link http://gallery.menalto.com/node/91760

Thanks,
