Hi there, when I try to upload files bigger than 2mb I got a message

Quote:
File is too big. A likely error source is a too low value for upload_max_filesize (2M) in your php.ini.

I did. phpinfo.php now shows 11mb for the locale Value. The Master Value still has 2mb and it doesn´t work. Do I have to change the MasterValue?

Thx 4 F1.

st.

There are 2 places in php.ini that can be effected by this:

upload_max_filesize and post_max_size

Make sure both are larger than the image you are trying to upload. How big is the file you are trying to upload?

To change the master value, you'll need to modify the "main" php.ini file that the server reads from first.

Post a link to your phpinfo and I can help a bit more, this link explains how:

The post_max_size was 8mb is now 11mb as the other. The file I tried to upload has 2,4mb, so it wasn´t that one. I send u the phpinfo via pm. Plz don´t show it anyone else.

Have you restarted apache after making the changes?

/etc/init.d/apache2 restart

If you edit the php.ini file that's located at /etc/php5/apache2/php.ini that should change the master value. I'd try changing that and restart Apache after. The master value for upload_max_filesize is set to 2M. But safe_mode is also set to on in the Master value so you should be seeing other issues if that were taking effect.

Hm, it can´t be, that I have to change the master value if the local values both set right. If thats a problem of the beta status, I can wait to the final with that paticular issue.
I also have a board running and changed the localvalues for upload_max and post_max and that works, so it must be the gallery3 that has a problem, not the server.

Can you send me a link where the phpinfo file is in the same directory as your G3 install or look at that to double check that the settings are in fact the same under G3?

Could be a GD toolkit issue as well as GD decompresses the image.
