So each time I install Gallery2 on a drupal site I keep getting this problem where only the site admin and new users get a personal gallery. All existing users only get this error on their profile: "User has not created an album yet". I've checked my permissions and ran the sync utilities, is there some step with Groups I'm missing? My users are not in a group other than the default Authenticated Users. Also I do not have organic groups installed. Please help this keeps coming up for me.
this also shows up for the site admin
User has not created an album yet
Gallery2-Drupal Sync Status
Roles <> Groups
and for existing users they get this when they go to ?q=gallery
display mode: [username] | guest
as in they can't add anything or do anything but look at images
Anyone...?

Yup spam... someone will clean that up soon. But back to your issue.
I'm not sure about the Drupal settings, but G2's useralbum setting can create the album when the user is created, or when they first visit gallery.
Personally in my integration package(geeklog) I create a single link in the user's account menu to either create the album(if they don't have one) or link to their album.
But either way I do not create the album when the user is created and mapped to gallery. I only create the album if they actually visit gallery and click the link.
Not all users are on mysite for that purpose so why have all these extra albums hanging around.
