Gallery view images are blank

When I look at gallery view, I see where all the photos are supposed to be, but they're just filled in with the Safari question mark (See attached photo). If I mouse over the image, the toolbar comes up, blocking the link. But if I'm quick enough, I can click on the link and get the lights-dimmed fullish screen view, which is of the correct photo. Any ideas about what's going on here? Thanks! Ben
