Sorry, if I am at the wrong place here...
I am looking for a possibility to edit captions and other metadata, as well as rotating already uploaded pictures. As it seems, GR will not do that, so I was asking myself, if I am the only one, looking for such a solution or I did just not found it until today.
Are there any other programs out there, which would do the job, rearranging my Gallery with about 1.400 photos?
Doing such a work online is really horrifying me!
Thanks for any feedback or suggestions how you resolved such (or a similar) problem!

but you don't want to do it online via the gallery interface?
Perhaps a better user story is in order for me to understand what you are after.

Hello there Floridave!
Thats right, editing some hundreds of pics using online gallery interface...
...I would rather do it somehow remote, like in GR, which is not able to edit already uploaded photos, or am I doing it wrong?!
The story is actualy trivial. I finally updated to the actual Gallery2 version and during this work, I saw, that there are errors at the metadata side and as well some pics has to be rotated.
I gave it up, using the online Gallery interface, as it is to slow (I have a poor connection) and not very handy, browsing some dozens of directories and checking all the text, image by image.
Hope this explains it somehow better?!
Thanks for your help!

With G2 there is only 'edit captions' that I know about for bulk work.
G3 has a cool AJAXy UI for rotation of item.
The solution is to add the correct data at the time of upload.

Yeah... that’s right! But, over some years, upgrading and migrating all the pictures, there are some flaws and errors which I would like to get straight :p
So, as it seems, unfortunately there is no remote and easy way to do this... It would for sure be something for coming versions of GR, which I won the impression, is developing slowly.
Thanks for your help and your quick answer, again.
