I have a nightly build from Saturday, May 23rd. I successfully created a new user group entitled ‘Limited Users’ and added a new user. I gave this user full permissions with the exception of ‘Add’. When I logged in as this user and attempted to add a photo (which I shouldn’t be able to do) the add photo box appeared and I was able to select a photo to add. I was advised that the upload was a success however the photo did not load correctly which of course is the desired outcome however I was surprised that I was able to even see the upload box and browse to upload a photo. Is this the correct behaviour by design or will this change? I think that currently it is misleading. When attempting to add an album as the same user I get the ‘Dang... Something went wrong!’ error message Mark |

You're totally right.. it's a bad user experience. I filed https://apps.sourceforge.net/trac/gallery/ticket/313 and fixed it in 055e0a7..2925a1c Grab the latest code from Git to test it out. thanks!
oh and ps: you helped me to find http://apps.sourceforge.net/trac/gallery/ticket/314 too!
