In the Fedora repos they have an upgrade to gallery 2.3-7 and I upgraded to the 2.3 version from 2.2. At this point the page is displaying, at first it was displaying a blank page because the smarty libraries weren't symlinked correctly.
My issue is that when I go to add items to my gallery I receive the following error.
Error (ERROR_BAD_PATH) : Invalid path: modules/remote/ItemAddGalleryRemote.inc
* in modules/core/classes/helpers/GalleryFactoryHelper_simple.class at line 171 (GalleryCoreApi::error)
When I attempt to install gallery2-remote I get a message that tells me the gallery2-remote package is obsolete. I also receive the obsolete message for: gallery2-panorama, gallery2-slideshowapplet, gallery2-uploadapplet.
Are all of those package really obsolete? If they are then what replaces those packages?
On a side note I have used Digikam in the past to upload photos to Gallery which worked really really well for me. It looks like without the remote package installing that the digikam upload will not function, is that correct? If that is correct then I am guessing that Digikam will need to adjust how it's upload feature works. Can someone confirm these hunches?
Any assistance with the add item error, packages that need/don't need installed, and digikam is greatly appreciated.
