Hello,

Since I have this problem in G2 I decided to give it a try on G3, but it seems it behaves somewhat similarily.
The issue is a long bearded one - "foreign" characters in the IPTC fields (like äöõ and © éá) are not displayed on the photo page. This primarily concerns keywords (tags). The umlaut character is left out as well as the rest of the word ("Vabaõhumuuseum" becomes "Vaba"). I checked in MySQL directly and it was indeed cut iff in that exact location. When I edited it in the database, however, using MyAdmin, then it registered correctly.

I have attached a small image, for all of you to test.

I just acquired a Mac OS Automator plugin that writes IPTC info into JPEG files. Written into files this way, G2 even, and G3 as well seem to be able to read that properly. I attached a small file populated with automator as well, so that the individuals interested in this matter can do comparisons on what goes wrong and where.
BTW, Adobe XMP reader interprets the umlauts written by Automator also correctly, only if the fields are WRITTEN in Bridge or Photoshop they are messed up in Gallery...
