Another four hours and the beta should launch. Should I stay up? There probably won't be a lot changed compared to the latest revision, but still..
I'm so happy! Have been a user of G2 for some time, but found it 'lacking' in the theme's department (looked a bit outdated to me) but loved all the features.
Discovered ZenPhoto a while back, but although it looked nice missed all the features I liked in G2..

Can hardly wait for G3, have been installing new trunks (is that the term, or should I use 'revision') almost every day and have seen it progressing quite nicely.

Thanks for the effort!

Gr,
Okat

I think I'll just rely on the Gallery devs to tell us when the beta is coming. 33 hours after you posted and there's still no sign of a beta...

I know, I noticed some 'blockers' as well on the Trac pages so I was prepared. I'd rather have a good working program anyway.

I was secretly hoping they (the blockers) were almost fixed, though.

Hey sorry for the radio silence. Our guess for Beta 1 was off, there were too many tasks left to do in order for us to hit that date. So we turned Beta 1 into Alpha 4 and are going to try to release it in a couple of days so that you have something new to play with while we work on getting to the Beta level. Stay tuned!

Funny, I could've sworn this topic was closed.

Anyway, you guys take as long as you need to. I noticed there aren't a lot of people working on this project (judging from the number of authors making changes to the SVN repository) and It looks you've been working on this every day of the week for quite some time.
I'd like to help out as much as I can. Which probably isn't much. Have some experience with PHP/MVC/MySQL, but am still a bit struggling with the code which is new to me and SVN in Eclipse.

It was closed, but I couldn't figure out why so I reopened it :-)

We've been working away on this but as you can tell, there's a *lot* to do. If you'd like to pitch in, there are plenty of tasks listed here: http://tinyurl.com/gallery3b1 Let us know if you're interested in working on anything you find there.
