Error: 500 with working GD path Fix(?)

Error: 500 with working GD path (no ImageMagick though)
Hi all,

I'm not really sure my error: 500 was the same as http://gallery.menalto.com/node/86787 or http://gallery.menalto.com/node/86809

I set the graphics_toolkit_path in the prefix_vars table to /usr/local/bin/ but that didn't fix either my graphics toolkit nor my upload 500 error. It seems I'm stuck with GD for the time being.

I did however find a fix for my upload problem on the following site/page: http://swfupload.org/forum/generaldiscussion/86#comment-113 which states:
add the following lines to your [root] .htaccess file:
SecFilterEngine Off
SecFilterScanPOST Off

It fixed the problem, but I have no idea if it comprises as a security risk.
