It's possible upgrade from g2 to g3?

That is, how can I upgrade my actual gallery 2 to gallery 3?

When I'm trying to install on the same database says:

But I want to install on that database (using a different prefix).

Not yet. A migration module is in development
@using same tables with different prefix. That is being addressed as well http://apps.sourceforge.net/trac/gallery/ticket/175 .

Gallery 3 is in alpha stage and it looks great, but it isn't quite ready for prime time. If you install it, I would create a new database to play around with it. And with each new version of Gallery 3, I'd drop all tables and start fresh for Alpha 4 and beyond to be safe.
